This program focuses on key concepts to develop key skills in construction estimating. You’ll learn how to calculate job costs, as well as fire protection and life safety requirements. You’ll work on real projects and learn from experienced professionals in the field.

This program of study is designed to train individuals who wish to develop skills in construction estimating. Based on plans and estimates, you’ll learn to analyze the costs of construction work and establish an inspection of the value of a residential building.
Referring to the Canadian Building Code (CBC) and legislation applicable to the fields of construction and estimating, you learn to prepare bids for material suppliers, trade contractors and general contractors.

Who is this program for?

The Construction Appraisal & Valuation program meets the needs of real estate developers and the construction industry. It is aimed at employees already working in the construction sector, or anyone wishing to broaden their skills and expertise.

  • Successful completion of secondary school courses:
    1. CST 4e : Mathématiques, Culture, société et technique de la 4e secondaire sequence (063414)
    2. STE or SE 4e: Science et technologie de l’environnement (058404) or Science et environnement (058402) from Secondary 4.

The following documents are required to apply for admission:

  • If you were born in Quebec: High school diploma, and post-secondary diploma if applicable, and a CV.
  • If you were born outside Quebec: High school diploma, and post-secondary diploma if applicable, CV, legal status in Canada (permanent residence, citizenship), CSQ or health insurance card
